  • What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?
We discussed students using class websites to learn and blog any time. We are set up for this. There has been no encouragement or incentives to work from home in the weekends or after school, but some students are doing this.

  • What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
Looking at other school's class sites has reassured me that what I am experimenting with is on the right track.

  • What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
The turn in sheet that I made last week has been working, and I compared it with Hannah's to see if there is anything else I can do to improve it.

  • What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?
I''m continuing to steadily streamline systems so that planning, assessment, feedback can be seen in one place and can serve multiple purposes eg. a slide show lesson can also be my part of my planning.

  1. I am pleased you got to compare notes with Hannah. The team she works in spend a lot of time wrestling with the streamlining of systems that you mention. You should go for a visit OR set up a Hangout after school between your team and Hannah/Kent's team. Lots of ideas to explore.

It was such a pleasure to see your classroom last week- and to catch you playing with sheets in the lunch break!

    Stay in touch
